Rajeshwari Dholakia Antani ( Former Indian Women’s Test and World Cup Cricketer ) Career Span: 1973 to 1983.

My name is Rajeshwari. Started playing Cricket back in 1971 as a 12 year old girl. Born and bred in Indore. Was Skipper MP and Central Zone from 1978 to 1982.
Represented India against Australia, NZ, England and West Indies in India. And have played two World Cups 1978 ( India ) and 1982 ( NZ ). Was instrumental in pulling off India’s first ever World Cup game victory. Against formidable English Team in 1982 World Cup. Been Coaching in Houston since last 12 years. Went to England as Coach in 2023 and 2024 ( California Cricket Academy u-13 girls team ). Daughter of Dr. Ushakant/ Ushadevi Dholakia. Till date I am the ONLY Nagar woman to have represented India in Cricket.  Am 66 years young. Married. Two daughters and two grand daughters.

મારું નામ રાજેશ્વરી છે. મેં ક્રિકેટ રમવાનું 1971 માં 12 વર્ષની છોકરી તરીકે શરૂ કર્યું. ઈન્દોરમાં જન્મ અને ઉછેર થયો. 1978 થી 1982 દરમિયાન એમ.પી. અને સેન્ટ્રલ ઝોનની કેપ્ટન રહી. ઑસ્ટ્રેલિયા, ન્યૂઝીલેન્ડ, ઇંગ્લેન્ડ અને વેસ્ટ ઈન્ડિઝ સામે ભારતનું પ્રતિનિધિત્વ કર્યું. બે વર્લ્ડ કપ રમ્યા – 1978 (ભારત) અને 1982 (ન્યૂઝીલેન્ડ).

1982 વર્લ્ડ કપમાં શક્તિશાળી ઇંગ્લિશ ટીમ સામે ભારતની પ્રથમ-ever વર્લ્ડ કપ મેચ જીતાડવામાં મહત્વપૂર્ણ ભૂમિકા ભજવી. છેલ્લા 12 વર્ષથી હ્યુસ્ટનમાં કોચિંગ કરી રહી છું. 2023 અને 2024 માં ઇંગ્લેન્ડ ગઈ હતી, કેલિફોર્નિયા ક્રિકેટ અકાદમીની U-13 છોકરીઓની ટીમની કોચ તરીકે.

હું ડૉ. ઉષાકાંત/ઉષાદેવી ધોળકિયાની પુત્રી છું. આજ સુધી હું ભારતનું પ્રતિનિધિત્વ કરનાર એકમાત્ર નાગર મહિલા છું. હાલમાં હું 66 વર્ષની યુવાન છું. લગ્ન થયેલા છે. બે દીકરીઓ અને બે નાતિ દીકરીઓ છે.
