Raam Mori, born on February 2, 1993, in Mota Surka village near Sihor, Gujarat, is a distinguished Gujarati short story writer, screenwriter, and columnist. He began writing at the age of 17 and completed his studies in fabrication engineering. His literary voice is deeply rooted in the rural ethos of Saurashtra, often portraying the emotional landscapes of women and everyday life. His debut collection Mahotu(2016) earned him the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar in 2017, followed by Coffee Stories (2018) and Confession Box (2020), which expanded his thematic range to urban introspection and personal narratives. Raam has contributed columns to Divya Bhaskar, Mumbai Samachar, and Cocktail Zindagi, and serves as visiting faculty at NIMCJ in Ahmedabad. In cinema, he made his screenwriting debut with Montu Ni Bittu (2019), and continued with Mara Pappa Superhero and 21muTiffin in 2021, showcasing his ability to translate literary depthinto visual storytelling. His recent works include Kasoombo(2024) and Maharani (2025), further cementing his place in Gujarati cultural discourse.
