Dr. Shuchita Divatia-Mehta is a retired Professor, having served as the Head of the Sanskrit Department at St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Ahmedabad. She earned her Ph.D. in Vedanta (Thesis Title: Drishti Srishti Vada in Indian Philosophy)under the guidance of Padmasri Dr. Esther A. Solomon.
Dr.Divatia-Mehta has regularly presented research papers at both national and international conferences, with one of her papers titled The Concept of Amanibhava awarded the best paper in the Religion and Philosophy section at the 42nd Session of the All India Oriental Conference.
She is a published author of various journal articles, with her research monograph Idealistic Thought in Indian Philosophy (published by D.K. Print World, June 1994) and her work editing Tattvopaplavasimha (originally translated by Dr. E. A. Solomon) being some of her notable works.
