Chandrashekhar Patil

Chandrashekhar Patil's educational background includes a B.A. in Fine Arts (Painting), a Post Diploma in Mural Design, and an M.A. in Fine Arts (Museology) from M.S. University of Baroda. He received additional training through a six-week program at the Prince of Wales Museum in Mumbai and a six-month program at the National Research Laboratory for Conservation of Cultural Property in Lucknow.

As part of his research project, he compiled a report on "Conservation of canvas painting with case studies." Patil has been awarded National Scholarships by the Ministry of HRD and Lalitkala Academy.

In terms of work experience, he has conducted conservation projects involving oil and wall paintings, wooden sculptures, and animal trophies at various locations. He has also contributed to the design of domes and murals. Additionally, he played a pioneering role in initiating heritage walks and has delivered lectures on art conservation. Patil has actively participated in camps and curated numerous exhibitions, including events organized by the Lalit Kala Academy of states.

Throughout his career, he has showcased his work in twenty-four solo shows, a two-man show, and twenty-seven group shows from 1997 to 2022.
